I found this recipe online(I don't remember where) and the first time I made it I followed the recipe exactley. The second time I made this dish I tried the recipe from memory. So here it is.
2 stalcks of celery
About 8 or 9 strips of bacon(chopped)
1 white onion,diced
4 small potatoes
7 cups of water(give or take)
16 oz. canned clams(minced or whole, with juices reserved)
1 can (14.5 oz)of diced tomatoes
4 tbsp. of butter
Start by melting butter in a large soup pot, add bacon. Cook for 5 minutes, then add celery. Cook for 3 minutes, and add onions. Add water and potatoes, cook potatoes until ALMOST tender. Then add clams, clam juice, and tomatoes. Bring to a simmer, serve, and enjoy.
